Manhwa Review: Dr.Frost- Jong Bum Lee

The art of this manhwa is not all that incredible but it’s quite pleasant and easy so you can enjoy it even if you haven’t read one before.

The Author has put a lot of effort in both art and story by discussing and interviewing many well known Korean psychologists so each illness and problem mentioned in this manhwa is not created out of nothing but has probably been a real case and the solutions given for them are mostly real with maybe few exaggerations of Dr. Frost’s ability to understand and treat them.

Dr. Frost is a very interesting character that lacks the ability to understand human emotions due to an unfortunate accident he had as a kid. As the story progresses and he helps more and more people with their problems, Frost starts to understand and feel some of the biggest emotions we have.

It’s worth reading.

You can find it for free on the Webtoon App, which of course supports the Author.

  1. This is one of my absolute favorite Webtoons, and I’m glad to see you enjoyed it! Some of the flaws you pointed out I can understand (like Frost’s exaggerated ability), but when you keep in mind that he’s a Holmes character, it makes more sense.
And about the art; while the art style may be good but not the mist mind blowing, I actually talked to my dad about it, and he said that from a technical standpoint (the panel layout, the coloring, the composition) it’s actually pretty fantastic art.
Now let’s just hope they translate season 3 ASAP, that cliffhanger is just as bad as Reichenbach from Sherlock.
